At Treat Kitchen were proud to support Basket Brigade Nottingham again this year with a donation to their annual festive hamper project. The team headed over to Nottingham Racecourse to drop off over 100 of our Ay-Up Message Bottles, created in collaboration with our partner charity Base 51.
These bottles are colourful, uplifting, and vegan friendly! A small treat we hope adds a moment of joy for someone who really needs it.
The racecourse was full of activity on the day: businesses from all over Nottingham had arrived with donations, volunteers gearing up to start packing hampers at full speed, and an atmosphere that can only be described as organised festive chaos. It’s always inspiring to hear how many people come together to make this initiative happen!
As a small Nottingham business, we know we can’t change the world - but we can make an impact where it matters most: right here in our community. Supporting projects that are local, meaningful, and full of heart has always been important to us. Basket Brigade is one of those initiatives where you can see the difference almost immediately.
The hampers created will go out to young carers, women in supported housing, community-nominated individuals, and many others who could do with a little extra kindness at this time of year. Knowing our products will be part of that moment is something we truly value.
We’ve taken part for several years now, and each time we’re reminded just how powerful collective effort can be. The bigger this initiative becomes, the more people in Nottingham we can support - so we’d absolutely encourage other businesses (and individuals!) to get involved next year. Whether you’re donating products, giving your time, or simply spreading the word, it all counts.
A huge thank you to the organisers, volunteers, and every business who donated. It’s brilliant to see Nottingham come together in such a genuine, hands-on way to spread some much needed festive cheer.
