The other day in the Treat Kitchen office we somehow ended up asking a very important question: what’s everyone’s favourite film? The answers started flying around, the conversation took the next obvious turn… what Treat Kitchen snack would you eat while watching it? Some choices made perfect sense. Some raised a few eyebrows. But all of them made us want a movie night immediately. Here’s what the team picked:
Izzy, our graphic designer and the person responsible for making all our products look so good, went straight for About Time. It’s cosy and heartfelt!!. Her snack pick to go with it was our Chocolate Orange Baking Bottle. It’s the kind of thing you’d happily make on a rainy Sunday afternoon, ideally while pretending you also have time-travel powers and can rewatch your favourite scenes again and again!!

Jess, our brand director, didn’t hesitate for a second.
Her choice? The Sound of Music. And yes, she will absolutely sing along. Loudly!!! To go with it she picked the Berry Special To Me Bottle, which feels very on brand - bright, cheerful, and impossible not to like. If there was ever a sweet that felt like it belonged while running through the hills singing Do-Re-Mi, it’s this one !

Leah, our buying director and the person responsible for sourcing all the brilliant sweets we stock, took things in a slightly darker direction with The Nightmare Before Christmas. Her movie snack of choice? Sour Power 1kg!! Big, bold, zingy sweets that match the weird and wonderful energy of Halloween vibes perfectly. If Jack Skellington had a pick-and-mix, personally, we think this would fit his tastes!

Then came Martin, our CEO, who went big with Return of the Jedi. The only snack that felt right alongside such an epic film was our Original Stormtrooper Chocolate Helmet. It’s made from the yummiest milk chocolate, looks incredibly cool, and - if we’re honest - feels like the sort of thing you’d dramatically reveal before a movie night begins.

Ian from operations went in a completely different direction with Space Jam. Bright, chaotic, nostalgic, and full of energy - which made his snack pairing very obvious: the Retro Mix Glass Jar. It’s packed with colourful classic sweets and feels exactly like the kind of thing you’d happily munch your way through while watching cartoon characters play basketball with professional athletes!!

And finally, Lydia from marketing. It probably won’t surprise anyone that her pick is Hairspray!!! In her opinion, the best film ever made - Big, Bold and Beautiful, almost like one of their iconic songs suggests! The snack pairing had to be Treat Yourself 1kg. It’s colourful, fun, a little bit extra, and basically the sweet equivalent of a full-on musical number. Perfect for snacking your way through the film… or fuelling up to attempt the dance moves in your living room.
