Modern Slavery Statement

Modern Slavery Statement
Treat Kitchen (Nottingham Trading & Gifts Limited)
Financial Year Ending: 31/03/2026

At Treat Kitchen, we believe that business should be a force for good — and that includes taking a strong and proactive stance against modern slavery and human trafficking in all its forms. This statement sets out the steps we are taking to ensure modern slavery is not taking place within our business or our supply chain.

1. Our Business and Values

Treat Kitchen is a Nottingham-based food gifting brand specialising in confectionery, baking kits, and feel-good treats sold through retailers, independents, and directly to consumers. We are proud to be a purpose-led business, committed to spreading joy while operating with integrity, care, and respect for people and the planet.

2. Our Supply Chain

Our products are sourced and manufactured through a network of trusted partners, both in the UK and internationally. We work with suppliers of ingredients, packaging, finished goods, and logistics services. We recognise that some parts of our supply chain may present higher risks of modern slavery, particularly where production takes place overseas.

3. Our Policies

We are committed to ethical sourcing and fair treatment of workers. Our approach is supported by internal policies and standards that include:

  • Ethical Sourcing and Supplier Code of Conduct
  • Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy
  • Whistleblowing Policy
  • Recruitment and Employment Policy

All suppliers and partners are expected to comply with UK legislation and international human rights standards, including the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

4. Due Diligence and Risk Assessment

We carry out checks when onboarding new suppliers and monitor compliance through:

  • Supplier questionnaires and declarations
  • Regular communication with key partners

We are currently working to strengthen our supply chain transparency and will continue to prioritise relationships with suppliers who share our values and demonstrate ethical working practices.

5. Training and Awareness

We are working to raise awareness of modern slavery within our business and provide training to key staff members involved in procurement and supplier relationships. This ensures our team understands the signs of exploitation and knows how to respond if concerns arise.

6. Looking Ahead

As we grow, we are committed to improving our systems, policies, and oversight to prevent any form of modern slavery or human trafficking in our operations or supply chain. We will continue to review our practices annually, ensuring we uphold the highest ethical standards in everything we do.
